    I used Arch Linux a while back and really enjoyed the minimal approach, but I’m really confused here. Is this just FreeBSD with pacman?

      Looks that way: “The ArchBSD project focuses on using ArchLinux package manager on the FreeBSD distribution, to provide optimised, up to date package for FreeBSD users.”

      Phoronix isn’t doing any favours by publishing this before the project is set up for such an announcement.
