We have been doing so since 1.0 and they never complained about it, now suddenly we are "violating the iOS Data Storage Guidelines".
@FredericJacobs @ioerror I know what a Bloom filter is, I know what a contact is... but what do you do?
@FredericJacobs Can you elaborate? Are you using the contact list in a way they do not allow? Using bloom filters for that purpose rocks!

.@FredericJacobs @jeremyscahill you hash the contacts on the device and then just send the hash over to your server for the matching?

@FredericJacobs @dlmetcalf grrr. Keep making noise, that sounds like whomever is rejecting you doesn't understand what you guys are doing.
@FredericJacobs wow. you should probably just upload the contacts in plain text to the server like whatsapp to avoid any privacy issues.
