This takes down http://goingtorain.com until I can find another free weather provider. wunderground.com seems to have a lot of restrictions on their API and they want more attribution than I want to show on goingtorain.com.
It’s still a mystery to me how these companies just decide to turn things off without any notification.
In all fairness, the google weather api was never public. It just had public endpoints.
I am pretty sure the Weather API was only intended for the iGoogle gadgets, and maybe Google Desktop.
