It’s a cool hack and a lot of this comes down to personal preferences but for my own use I’d want a more extensive and better positioned thumb cluster. I find that to be essential for layer-heavy input.
On another pass, I would probably consider a custom PCB. The longer I use this the more I get a feel for changes.
