Woah. I’m surprised to see Dan’s Hackcon slides mentioned here of all places. I’m an ADI alumnus. I joined in my freshman year when we were officially recognized by the Columbia administration as a student group and held the first Devfest. There are a few other ADI members on Lobsters, but as far as I know, only me and @moses are active. If we do get a “community” tag, I’d be happy to repost Dan’s slides and answer any questions about ADI.
My only worry about adding a community thread is that people might mistake it for another ‘meta’ tag. Couldn’t these stories go under the ‘practices’ tag?
I’m not sure that really works. As I understand, “practices” is for programming, project management, and business practices. Although I agree that “community” could be confused with “meta”. Perhaps something like “society” or “culture”.

Dan has informed me that the talk was recorded and that the video will be uploaded to the Hackcon website soon. I’ll post it here once it is up.
Could call it “Dev Culture”
I like “dev culture”.
But, so far, all tags are one word. So maybe not.

I like “culture”. That would cover not just community, but also two other topics not on the current tag list: history and humor.
I like “culture” better too.
