    Decent read.

The entire notion of concurrency and parallelism in JS makes me cry. I would be so damned happy if the standards body just said “Alright folks, this is never going to be in the language. Staaahp.”

I have an exceptionally dim view of nonimmutable concurrency affordances, of Javascript, and of web developers–a view acquired doing all of those things myself. JS should not be expanded in that fashion.

Well, if you haven’t heard it won’t be Observables.

This is simply incorrect. The Object.observe proposal has been withdrawn. But it is completely unrelated to the Observables proposal: https://github.com/zenparsing/es-observable/blob/master/README.md

Admittedly, the similar names are a bit confusing.
