I’ve seen many sites using javascript in <a href="javascript:void(1)" onClick='window.location="index.html"'>. Why people do that, I don’t think it’s malice or incompetence?
Just yesterday I found a link to <a href="javascript:history.go(-1)">More Insights</a> which was completely useless given that I had gotten to that page via a search engine which I’ve set to open links in new tabs.
