During research for another cryptography project I’m working on, I was studying the NSA suite B list, and couldn’t help but notice the complete lack of classic finite-field cryptographic algorithms. It was pretty cool at this talk to see some of the research backing this up. RSA and classic DH should be considered dead, and we need to move to ECC (particularly, curve25519 / ed25519). However, ECC support in GnuPG / PGP is only available in development builds if compiled with support, and I don’t think those have support for curve25519. Quite disappointing.
