    So some of this doesn’t seem worth it. The supposed benefit here is they get to share code, right? But why can’t the logic code be shared between native apps?

    Ok, so the benefit is shared UI code. But then they go on to list all the workarounds for menus and buttons and localization and number formatting. Which sounds like a lot of effort to get back where they started.

    It sounds like the code they are sharing, backend logic, could always have been shared. And they code electron supposedly allows sharing, the front end, actually requires a ton of platform specific tweaks.
