    You’ve heard of the mythical 10x programmers, programmers who can produce ten times as much as us normal humans.

    The opening sentence already made red alerts. I’m sure some people have defined a 10x engineer as this, but for most respectable people I listen to and talk to in software development, this is not the definition they use. The definitions they use varies, but usually it’s about knowing what problem to solve, so not wasting a lot of time doing useless work, or solving a problem that makes everyone around them more productive, or not producing debt so that those around them can maintain some concept of velocity.
