I’m surprised this is even considered news, or that anyone cares – don’t you already have to install Adobe Flash manually? What’s even the point of having an extra deactivation of something that’s not even installed by default?
Instead – how about also doing the same to those annoying HTML5 background videos that don’t add anything to the page, but slow down (or oftentimes crash) your whole browser and bog down the CPU? What are those moving backgrounds at system76.com, airbnb.com or Marriott’s editionhotels.com are for?
