    The problem with CrateDB is that you don’t get strong consistency, which means you give up ACID, unlike CockroachDB.

      this is by intend. for some use cases you need a fully acid compliant database like cockroachdb, but in other cases you just need to store away your data while being able to read it, do aggregations on it and so on. that’s cratedb’s sweetspot. distributed acid comes with a high cost.
