Preloading fonts users have locally means they are downloading fonts they don’t need & won’t be used when local() is appropriately in font face source list. I’m happy this article pointed that out unlike many resources.
For me, it takes 72ms to receive the favicon.ico file, but regardless of one-off timing, I think you could further benefit from also brotli compressing it instead of serving as text/html.
