China had large blocks of IPv6 allocated early on but they only recently started using it. Part of my job involves maintaining a CDN inside China. In mid-2018 our Chinese partner were told by a government ministry “IPv6: do it, do it now” and everyone had to jump and implement it in sites that had never had it before.
Weird that China is not highlighted on that map; makes me not trust the data.
China is shown in fig. 5 as having < 5% deployment.
That seems unlikely, given that they were one of the primary advocates of ipv6 though.

APNIC published a blog post earlier this year which backs that up, as well as the 5% number: https://blog.apnic.net/2019/01/03/ipv6-in-china/
Oh, wow! Thanks!
