If you haven’t gone on a binge through the rest of Scott Turner’s “Here Dragon’s Abound” blog, I highly recommend it, starting from the beginning. His scientific/aesthetic approach to experimentation is really interesting, and his work definitely has a magical sense of “greater than the sum of it’s parts” that is really fun to follow along with.

Plus, more or less weekly updates on a relatively small-scoped problem for many years, makes the whole thing great reading and inspiration.
