Probably nothing, since search engines wouldn’t be accessible. Once the Internet scaled beyond FTPing around a hosts file, we pretty much need spiders to discover other network nodes. If Usenet were still popular, it could still be a useful source of discussion and discovery since it would largely work without needing popular DNS records due to its distribution model.

More likely: that I need IP addresses to communicate with friends.
