I thought it was interesting because it predates not only Firefox but the Mozilla project. And I hit it this week.

    Anyway, the problem is that there may be no DNS on a client using proxy

    There’s a problem I don’t think I’ve ever considered. (Or solution? if you want to require everybody to use the proxy.)
