From the creators of the Raspberry-Pi, lowRISC is an open-source SoC based on the 64-bit RISC-V architecture developed at UC Berkeley. They are apparently planning to fab the chips and release development boards.
I realize this is already a very admirable and huge undertaking.
But it would be nice if they also worked on other components of a SoC at a later stage. If it’s really a SoC, things like networking and a 2D accelerator would be a very useful addition.
With Chisel implementations.
