This was a pretty good presentation. A good blend of basic tools like PostgreSQL, Redis, and statsd with some new things I hadn’t heard of like Sensu. I feel like a lot of these scaling presentations are either “we wrote everything ourselves” which doesn’t really help me, or “we use 9 different cloud services from Amazon and let them deal with everything” which doesn’t help me either (and also makes me not trust that company’s service).
