      Fairly good piece of satire about an article that was linked here yesterday about Ruby, pretty much capturing my feelings as I read the original. Apologies for not including that link here; I’m running late.

      If you click through to the benchmarks, read the code they’re going to run BEFORE you click “run tests” (if you still want to). Do not do it in the other order. :)

      Using the names of Magic cards as sample data actually would do a lot to improve reader engagement with more-serious tutorial material, and I am suddenly pretty surprised that it isn’t done more.

        The original article used the names of Magic cards as sample data too. Actually, I tried to keep the wording and paragraph structure as close as I could handle to the original, including typos.
