      btw, as commented here, outside US Google Maps shows it as Gulf of Mexico or Gulf of Mexico (Gulf of America), Google PR lol… what a mess..

        Another example is Kashmir borders. It’s not really Google that’s a mess, it’s just international politics.

          The latter happens even in languages other than English! (Checked a few EU languages from inside EU)

          Now I kind of want that proposal that «Gulf of America» is a part of Gulf of Mexico to catch on…
