    I would say that when speaking about research it is useful to remember that some problems need some time in the background: you need to work on something else just to make sure you are not caught going in circles. After some time of keeping the task on a periphery of your mind, it is easier to look for new approaches.

    Of course, both my claim and the article are pure speculation with no data to back up.
