    The short version: total radio silence from Slack when the reporter tries to coordinate disclosure, followed by cries of “how dare you disclose without coordinating!” when the reporter discloses after attempting for months to coordinate with no response from Slack.

    Sadly, this seems pretty typical of Slack. As a daily Slack user (mandated by my employer; not my choice) observing their handling of security and stability issues, I get the impression that this is a company that is about marketing first, second, and third, with product quality somewhere way down the list. Every time something bad happens (a user data breach, massive service disruptions) the spin from the company is focused on downplaying its importance rather than clearly and honestly communicating what happened and why.
