I have this feeling when somebody shows me an UML diagram of how some legacy software is supposed to work.
Usually I do not believe them, and ask them if they would care to go over the code together, to find out how it is actually working.
“Nonono” they say, “The software has been implemented according to specification, I do not have to look at the code, this diagram shows how it works.”
This is when I realize that any argument will be pointless. rolleyes
Maps are useful, but they are not a replacement for sight.
