Does GitHub really belong grouped with Stack Overflow and Yahoo Answers? I know several people, including myself, who use GitHub to host code and projects, but have no interest in the “community” aspects of it. In fact, I actively avoid those parts because it’s too much like Reddit.
Even when I submit pull requests to other projects, it’s much more about fixing a problem I encountered using a library than it is about altruism or easing a future job search.
