Is anyone else going? If you are, please speak up!

My coauthor Julie and I are going and we’ll be offering Haskell training for beginners and intermediates in the days prior to the conference.

I haven’t been to a ton of conferences but I went to this one last year and really had a blast. It might be the only conf I go to this year, depending on how job/writing/schedules go.

I’m planning to go and hopefully talk again, and I’ll be taking part in the colocated (and free!) PureScript Conf as well.

I’m going as well. Everyone is also encouraged to attend the collocated, free PrlConf event, where we’ll have some really cool talks on the structural and behavioral foundations of programming languages!

@asthasr Sorry I didn’t see your question until now… PrlConf is an intermediate-to-advanced workshop; we will have some introductory talks interspersed with more advanced ones, but since it’s a small and informal thing, beginners should feel free to come and avail themselves of the speakers' expertise. We have an “all questions are good questions” policy! It is an all-day event.

I’ll be there, naturally. :) I also recommend the above Haskell training by Chris & Julie for those who are hesitant to jump into FP. Yeah, FP really is for everyone, even if you don’t know or even hate math. :)

I can’t make it this year very. Last year it was quite wonderful and I’m really quite sad to be missing it!

I’ve been twice now. I really wish I could go, but I’ve moved from Boulder to Melbourne since last year! Highly recommended.

              I’ll be there!

I plan on attending. I went last year, and I agree; It was a great conference.

I had submitted a lightning talk proposal, but haven’t heard back. Would like to go regardless, but haven’t made actual plans yet.

                  1. 2

I went both years and am looking forward to going again :)

By far my favorite conference, for both content and people!

                    1. 2

i’m strongly considering it, at the least

                      1. 2

I have it penciled in. It looks more interesting than StrangeLoop, going by last year’s talks.

                        1. 1

It looks great, and I’d be definitely interested in @bitemyapp’s training, but it comes at an inopportune time for the family. Perhaps next year.

                          1. 2

Sorry to hear that! If it’s because you have younguns, there is childcare (that’s we’re also sponsoring) available at the conference. We mention it here in our blurb about lambdaconf.

If it doesn’t work, hope Julie and I can catch you some other time :)

                            1. 2

If you keep offering it, I will be available at some point. I am very interested.
