I don’t have any value-adding comment to say because I just don’t know enough about processors. But I have been following POWER8 (and POWER9) for a bit now and am hoping they can put a dent in Intel’s monopoly (I mean that in the most positive sense, that is Intel has a monopoly because they make good stuff that is hard to beat). I like seeing these bottom layers changing.
