They’re also using some transliterations of Japanese names, for example ‘Crebase’ is called ‘Avalugg’ in the English versions.
Same here – I lost interest after the 3rd generation.
I played the latest iteration, but I missed alot of generations after the second and it seems to me x/y had mostly 1st generation pokemon in it, I never finished it so it might of gotten more varied later on.
Pokémon-like names are memorable and friendly - using similar naming schemata for other things is a good thing. No?
