I get where the impulse is coming from but creating “open alternatives” to the engagement-maximizing, DAU-juicing features ginned up by advertising companies to keep people hooked up to the dopamine drip feed just strikes me as a sad misuse of time and resources
Totally get where you’re coming from, and it’s a sentiment that we share. However I wonder if this alternative is perhaps an opportunity to embrace the format without all the dystopian nonsense attached? :)
