I use wgrep-mode from within Emacs all the time! I usually kick it off from the result of a ripgrep search initiated from projectile, but it works with silver-searcher and regular grep results too. From there I can move to wgrep-mode (C-p, I think? My fingers remember), edit the results of grep, and save it back to the files with C-c C-c. Magical.
