motorola 68k, used in amiga and atari st, had amazing for the time, design.
for instance, it had two set of registers - one for system, one for userspace, thereby removing necessity for context switches.
Except of course for that little issue with MOVE from SR. That wasn’t fixed until the 68010, so it was much less useful for multi user systems. Still, the overall design is indeed very sound.
