    This looks pretty interesting but I’m unclear on why I’d choose Poco over STL / boost. Can anyone who’s used Poco give some insight?

      POCO is based on the STL, so you’re not choosing it over STL. As for Boost, there is very little feature overlap as the focus of POCO and Boost is quite different. A lot of people use POCO and Boost together.
