I would very much appreciate this feature as sometimes I read from low light conditions and having light text on a dark background would be very easy on my eyes.

My wife would probably also appreciate it as I sometimes read sites while in bed and bright screens sometimes disturb her.

For C and C++, speaking as a novice programmer who grew up with BASIC on a TRS-80 Color Computer, I have to say that I dislike that every time I declare a new variable I have to remember to set it to zero or an empty string depending on my needs or else there could be some sort of garbage in it. It would save me a lot of extraneous typing of things like “int foo == 0;” if the variable could start off blank or zeroed when first declared. I know this is a small thing to quibble about but for me personally, this sort of thing irks me.

I’m a Chicagoan, so I don’t know if you’d want me, but I love Toronto 😛 I’d tentatively interested if I could get the logistics figured out.

Chicago is one of Toronto’s sister cities, so I don’t see a problem. ;)

I’m from Chicago, too and I drove to Toronto for vacation a few years back. I can potentially see myself living in that area someday. I wish I could work out a way to visit again and meet people from the GTA.

My work / life balance is poor in the opposite direction…. I’m currently out of work.

Anyone need a Sys Admin with some BSD skills in the Chicago / Northwest Indiana area?
