I’m in NYC. Most of my spare time is spent growing a nonprofit volunteer-driven group called CoderDojoNYC. It’s a work in progress, but it’s getting there. It’s a program to get more youth interested in making games, websites, yadda yadda. It’s kind of decent. I’m surprised at how creative some of my fellow mentors and students are. I’m really impassioned in this because I had these learning opportunities too in high school and I see this as a way to pay it forward. I hate seeing kids, adults or anybody, have the joy of learning killed slowly in traditional school systems.
